“And I am part of your dream, a part of your Personal Legend…” (Coelho, 1998 )
I didn’t come to this world with an inbred love for anything “engineering”. The truth is from the moment I was born up to this instant, there are only quite a few things I am certain I love. And there would always be times when I would doubt my love for them. And so, I entered college taking up electronics engineering just because I didn’t know what to choose, because I didn’t know what to wholly and deeply love.
Currently in my fourth year and now in mechanical engineering, I attended this year’s PSME (Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers) National Convention. For the first time. I did it of my own accord. I wanted to know more about what I have gotten myself into, to delve deeper into my whole new world.
There were many things I’ve come to realize, but the greatest of them is this: To become a mechanical engineer is my Personal Legend. It may not have been my first choice, but it could very well be my best.
